Why won't my Craftsman air compressor fill up?
I have a 3 HP 15 Gallon Craftsman Air Compressor that I bought used. It is electric and supposedly "oil-free". When I plug it in and switch it on everything appears to work normally however the regulated side of the compressor craftsman air compressor oil will only go up to about 23-25 PSI and the tank guage will only go up to about 20-22 PSI. I have checked the drain valve and other areas where connections are made and can't find any leaks from the tank or regulator. Furthermore the motor never cuts off - it will run forever if I let it. I even let it run for 15-20 minutes straight and once the guages got up to the above readings, they stopped and the motor kept running. Is the compressor or other part of the motor just shot or am I overlooking something here?
