Help answer the question about air compressor pump
Which works better a cordless or corded air compressor for tires?
I have a corded air compressor to pump my my car tires. (It's from air compressor pump Walmart and only costed about $20). The compressor does a good job putting in air but I wished it was rechargeable. Are rechargeable compressors better or do they tend to do a poorer job in putting air in the tire. I mostly just top off the psi of my tires. thx.

I charged this little thing up in the hope that I would be able to keep my air mattress with a mystery (source yet to be determined) slow leak going for one last camping trip before retiring it.
Much to my surprise, I did not have to hunt down a means to recharge the pump during my entire 5 day camping trip! And I had to re-inflate my queen size mattress at LEAST once every single day/evening. The deflating was nice for compact packing too.
My only complaint on this pump would have to be the noise, it is quite loud. However if your air mattress doesn’t need inflated in the middle of the night … why complain? Myself, I’m replacing the mattress before I give up this pumping powerhouse.
I use this to inflate my 16m snowkite and it works pretty well. I still need to hook up the manual pump at the end to get the kite inflated to max pressure, but it sure beats manually pumping the whole thing up. I expected it to be a little faster, but overall I am please with the unit.
Had one of these for quite a while. Can’t remember the last time I charged it. Maybe it was two years ago. Seriously. I’ve used it a dozen times, both for inflating and quick deflating, since the last charge. Too heavy to take backpacking alone, but hey…I usually don’t take an air mattress to backcountry. Don’t lose the tips.
I purchased this air pump for one main use. I have an inflatable 6 ft. tube that we tow behind our boat. I like to be able to inflate it while on the water with the boat. I had another Coleman pump like the new one and it worked fine until I let the battery go dead because I didn’t keep up the charge as directed-my own fault. The last one lasted 6 to 7 years and hopefully this one will last longer if I maintian the charge. The problem is that it is not used very often and I forget it’s there. Maybe they could come up with a rechargeable battery with a longer storage life.
It’s rechageable which means it is for convenience.
Yes, it’s quite convenient and works well.
However, it’s rechageable which means the battery won’t last forever.
After less than 50 times of recharging, it dies.
I recommend 12V or 120v one if you can use power outlet at the site.
For an $18 air compressor, I’m surprised how well it actually works. It’s a little on the slow side filling up an automobile tire, but I’m not complaining. I was also surprised how small it is. Which I find a good thing. It’s looks much bigger in the picture. It also only weighs about 2 lbs. The built-in gauge is accurate within 2 PSI. Something that shocked me. I’m very happy with the Slime. It does exactly what I want it to do, and it’s cheap.
It vibrates pretty good, but this isn’t a problem for me as my garage is carpeted; besides I hold it to keep my eye on the gauge. I always have trouble with gas station air because the spokes on my motorcycle and the rear drum brake get in the way of the hose. The nozzle on the Slime is at a right angle, so I can easily clamp it to the tire nipple. The gauge on my Slime is accurate. Takes my motorcycle tire from 24psi to 30 in about 20 seconds. Very convenient to plug into my car outlet. Used it twice; so far, so good.
I bought this as a gift and don’t know that much about this model. I bought this one based on my experience with the Slime Power Sport Tire Inflator (#40001) that I carry on my motorcycle. The Power Sport is a really compact design, easy to use and it will actually inflate a tire unlike some other brands I have bought at national auto parts chains.
I purchased this compressor several months ago because it is difficult finding gas stations that provide “free” air to their customers. This little workhorse provides peace-of-mind by just having it in your vehicle. Never fear getting a flat tire and then finding out that your spare is out of air. It works so well, I bought another for my second vehicle and gave one to my brother in-law for Christmas. Slime has improved the air gauge on my latest purchases too, albeit none of the gauges are calibrated correctly. They’re only off by 2-4 pounds though, so nothing major there. If this product has any negatives it is that you must hold on to it while using it because it vibrates so much. Run it on the pavement and it will walk all over the place.
I bought this air compressor thinking that it would save me money and time when I need to fill up air in my cars. Apparently, it blew up two of my DC adapters and I had to return it back to Amazon.
I would not recommend it.
